I began writing “What the Fire Gave Us” in the spring of 2012.  I am about one-quarter finished with a targeted completion date no later than September 1, 2013.

I am making seven excerpts available to give people a sense of the book’s narrative voice and content.

The book will be divided into three general sections:

1.  A brief pre-fire history of the Fritz family and the lives we shared in each of the houses we built and lived in.

2.  The events during and immediately after the fire.

3.  My journey out of the fire and into a new way of thinking and experiencing the world.
